Rosenbagger, warm up, you're going in.

This coming October, Jessica and I will have been married for 5 years.  Having a child is something that we have always talked about and we have watched some of our closest family and friends experience the joys of parenthood.  We have sat through numerous conversations and heard the advice from those same family and friends that we should "wait until you are ready".  That brings us to today....

So here we are, almost 17 weeks pregnant and the excitement that we will soon be parents is building by the day.  I would be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous.  I mean, anyone that knows me knows that I am a complete worry wart.  I kind of feel like Henry Rowengartner in the movie Rookie of the Year when he is called in to pitch for the Chicago Cubs (see video below).  He looks terrified!  But this is a new nervous.  Scratch that, this isn't nervousness...it's excitement.  I am excited at the thought of everything that means being a parent.  Most of all, I am excited about starting a new chapter in life with Jessica as we evolve into a larger family.

That being said, I can definitely say that we are ready to be parents and that we are very excited to bring a new life into the world. Nervous?  Like Rosenbagger, maybe just a little.
